Pathways

Our pathways programme provides all students with opportunities tailored to their needs.

ASDAN (the Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network) offers a suite of programmes based out of the UK that are endorsed by the SCSA (School Curriculum and Assessment Authority). The programme involved lots of hands-on practical activities, the use of IT, teamwork and collaboration, with literacy and numeracy threaded through.

Another aspect of our intensive Pathways programme for our Year 9 and 10 students includes SCSA endorsed qualifications and certificates. Students learn skills for the workplace from industry experts in what we call our 'couch conversations’, or during visits to worksites to explore opportunities.  Coupled with an intensified work experience programme and enrolment in Authority Developed Work-Place Learning (ADWPL), which is normally only accessible for Year 11 and 12 students, our Year 10s complete 55 hours of work placement, banking their credit towards Year 11.
