The Toodyay District High School Parents & Citizens Association (P&C) promotes cooperation between parents, students, staff and community members for the benefit of all students at Toodyay District High School.

We promote the interests of all students from kindergarten to year 10.

In partnership with the school, the P&C helps to raise funds to improve facilities and access to resources and opportunities for all students.

2022 has been the P&C's biggest year yet with construction of the Primary school nature playground and basketball court area landscaping and seating projects.

The P&C also supported school activities and events including donations to:

Year 6 camp ($1,000)
Bus hire for interschool athletics ($450)
Fairytale Farm excursion for kindy to year 3 ($810)
Purchased decodable books for primary classes ($1,382)
New furniture for secondary classrooms ($5,000)
Basketball court landscaping and seating ($11,470)
The magnificent Primary area nature playground ($59,863)
Year 10 graduation celebration ($200)

That's an incredible $80,175 the P&C and its' supporters contributed to the school in 2022.

In 2023, the P&C is considering contributions to:

Enhancing the undercover area as a meeting place for the school community
Secondary area improvements - classroom and gazebo refresh, painting and artworks
Purchase of resources for literacy and numeracy programs
Other priorities to be determined by the school, School Council sand P&C during the school year

How do we do this?

The volunteer run canteen food service generates income for the P&C. We also raise funds through gift stalls, events, activities, catering services, donations, grants and sponsorship.

In 2022, the P&C raised funds by:

Canteen service two days per week
Swimming carnival stall and sausage sizzle
Mothers' Day gift stall
Easter raffle
Faction carnival stall and sausage sizzle
Fathers' Day gift stall
School open night sausage sizzle
Halloween Disco
Countainers for change collections

Beyond these revenue streams, the P&C relies on donations and grants to support its activities.

By far the most important assets we have are the parents, supporters and volunteers whose efforts enable us to support our school. There are lots of ways people can help, and how you help is up to you.
