Early Childhood
Kindergarten students attend five full-day sessions per fortnight. Pre-Primary to Year 2 students attend full time.
The Western Australian Department of Education, the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines guide our programs.
The early years are an important time for children's learning and development. During this time, children build the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need for lifelong learning.
Our programs provide meaningful learning experiences that are engaging, age-appropriate, and connected to children's lives and communities.
Every child learns and develops in their own way. Children's learning is supported through positive relationships, social interactions, and cultural experiences.

Middle-Upper Primary
Students develop their learning and social skills through working with others and taking on greater responsibility. This helps them become more confident when learning alongside older students.
The programs offered help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally, while preparing them for a successful transition to secondary school.

Secondary School
At Toodyay District High School, we are fortunate to have passionate and skilled teachers who offer a diverse range of elective subjects tailored to the interests, strengths, and aspirations of our students. We believe student voice matters, and our elective offerings are reviewed each year to ensure they remain relevant, engaging, and responsive to the needs of our cohorts. From hands-on practical learning to creative pursuits and industry pathways, our electives provide students with opportunities to explore interests, develop new skills, and discover future career possibilities.
Emergency Services Cadets Program
The Emergency Services Cadets Program provides secondary school students with the opportunity to learn about and experience the values, training, and service of emergency services organisations.
Through a range of engaging and challenging activities, cadets develop practical life skills, leadership abilities, teamwork, initiative, and a strong sense of community responsibility. The program encourages personal growth, resilience, and a commitment to serving others.
Cadets also have the opportunity to participate in camps and field-based activities, where they can apply the skills they have learned, build confidence, and challenge themselves in a supportive environment beyond the classroom.
Pathways with Purpose
At Toodyay DHS, our elective and pathway programs are designed to help students discover their passions, build practical skills, and connect their learning to real-world opportunities. Whether students aspire to university, training, apprenticeships, employment, or community leadership, our programs help them take confident steps toward their future.
